The Archive contains a large selection of the photographs that Imogen Cunningham made over her lifetime.
These prints are available for licensing. We may have prints available for sale, upon request.
These pictorialist photographs were taken by Imogen in the Seattle area, as personal work after she had opened her successful Seattle portrait studio in 1910. These soft focus tableaux were inspired by writers and occasionally titled after books from one of her favorite authors, William Morris. She often posed her friends, the painters John Butler and Clare Shepard in the nude or in diaphanous veils - wrapping them in kimonos or simply in lengths of fabric.
